La Oreja De Van Gogh |
|
La Oreja De Van Gogh founded in January of 1996 in San Sebastian, is composed of Amaia, Pablo, Haritz, Alvaro and Xavi.
At first they were a group of university friends who spent time playing songs of their favorite groups, but when they began
composing they realized that none of them had a special voice to sing. After several attempts with well-known people, Pablo
met Amaia and he proposed her the lead singing in the group.
They started playing in bars at the begining and soon after appeared on the Pop aid rock City of San Sebastian. They recorded
a demo and presented it to the Jury. Even though they did not obtain any prizes, at least they played live in front of an audience
and their songs where played on Radios. But in the second edition of this pop aid rock they succeeded to win the first prize. This
success lead them in having a record deal with Epic/Sony Music and recorded their first album "Dile al Sol", which was released on 18th
of May of 1998.
The Album was a big success and the group was performing all around Spain, they scored around 150 concerts. In 1999, they won the
prize of best artist revelation and of best author revelation. After a small and deserved vacation, they released on the 11th of
September of 2000 their second album "El Viaje De Copperpot", that was recorded in studios of Madrid, France and London, and produced
by Nigel Walker.
In April 2003 they released their third album, "Lo que te conté mientras te hacías la dormida" it includes fourteen songs and bonus tracks.

Lisa Scott Lee |
|
Following the split of Steps in December 2001, at the end of a whirlwind
five years at the top, Lisa Scott-Lee was cast into the wilderness.
With no band, no record deal and, if the critics were to be believed, no chance
of a solo career, none would have blamed her for packing it all in and
going to work at Tesco's!
But not Lisa. Taking time out to manage 3SL, the hot new boy band
comprising of her three younger brothers, she started learning about
the music business from the other side. Spending 2002 making contacts,
developing her knowledge of the industry, writing solo material and
generally preparing herself, she avoided the pitfalls of rushing back
into the studio and releasing sub-Steps material, as some of her fellow
ex-band mates had done.
Her strategy has definitely paid off. Signing her solo record deal with
Mercury on her 27th birthday, Lisa has often been compared to Kylie
Minogue, and promoted as the UK's very own petite dance diva. Her debut single
'Lately' stormed the UK charts in May 2003, closely followed by another
dance anthem 'Too Far Gone' in September.
Working with many of the best remixers around, Lisa has been at the top of the dance and
club charts since early 2003 and has developed a huge fan base following her highly
successful club tour and appearances at summer festivals across the UK.
With her debut album 'Unleashed' released late in 2003, a 2004 tour and
her third single, 'I'll Wait For You', (tipped as a wicked power ballad) in
the pipeline, Lisa Scott-Lee looks set to become the dance-pop goddess of
the new millenium.

Espen Lind |
|
Espen Lind, a musician from Tromso –Norway started his career at very early stage. At 7 he was already playing the piano, violin,
and guitar, as well as singing. He spent the majority of his life writing and composing music. His lyrics are intelligent, touching,
and deep. His voice could make the angel's weep, and his compositions are simply brilliant.
As a teenager, Espen played in three or four local bands where he always wound up being the youngest member and the main songwriter.
In 1993, he moved to Los Angeles with a suitcase full of demos - intent on getting himself a record deal.
Unfortunately, success and luck was not on his side. So, he returned to Norway and took a job in a studio, where he engineered local
bands during the day and then stayed up all night working on his own self-financed album. He printed up CD singles of a pop song
called "Yum Yum Gimme Some," and sent them to the local stations. The song quickly became one of the most-requested tracks at radio in Norway.
A deal with Universal's Norwegian label followed and the resulting album "Mmm... Prepare To Be Swayed" was named one of the best albums of the year.
In 1997, He released his album "Red" that was a great success worldwide. In 1998, Espen has won Three Awards at the Norwegian Grammies (Best Artist Award).
His First International Single was "When Susannah Cries" in 1999. The song topped all European Charts as well as Japan and South Africa.
The song was at the number one spot in Norway for six straight weeks. In 2000, he released "This Is Pop Music" and in 2005 he will release his new album.
The first single taken from his forthcoming album is "Unloved". The song is played on Star Radio and reached number 3 (at the time of this writing)
on Star Radio’s Top 40.

Jennifer McCray |
|
Jennifer McCray is a young talented artist and songwriter. Music has
always been the center of her universe. Growing up as a part of a musical
family, Jennifer's father being a successful recording artist landing a
number 1 hit in the 70's with the song "Rock your baby " had given her
the opportunity to experience music at a very young age. Little did she
know the music would play a huge role in her future!
Jennifer started writing poetry at the young age of 6 years old and has
been given singing lessons as well as singing in the church choir .
Born in Miami Beach Florida, Jennifer moved to Canada (where her mother
is from) and at 17 ventured off to Europe for the first time where her
father was living. This was the start of a great interest for
travelling and also for learning languages being able to speak German, Dutch,
French quite well! Travelling and doing shows with her father made her
passion for music stronger and she realized that this was what she wanted
to do with her life.
In 1996 in a recording studio in Belgium, Jennifer met her future
manager Ronny Flas who exclusively signed her as an artist of TSP Records.
From then on Jennifer decided to pursue a career in music by
experimenting with different styles and writing all her own songs. Gaining
experience and strengthening her voice were the most important as she gradually
developed herself as an artist.
That same year she got the chance to work in Metropolis studios in
London with her first single "Do Anything" a song written by Hawk Wolinski
who has written for the likes of Chaka Kahn" "Ain't nobody" as well as
Micheal Jackson, Madonna and Fleetwood Mac. She was signed to Edel music
in this time.
In 2001 Jennifer started working with a Belgium team and brought out 2
singles "Can't get enough" and "Free my mind" and was signed under Sony
Music Belgium. While also starting to work with Silvano (another
talented young artist on the TSP Records team) she was writing many songs and
composing with him exchanging ideas and in 2002 composed the first
single of Silvano together "Encore" which reached number 3 in the hit radio
charts in Belgium!
As well as accompanying Silvano on his first tour as a background
vocalist singing in French, which is something Jennifer would enjoy doing
also in the future!
Presently Jennifer is really concentrating on her debut album due out
next year and also composing with some composers that have worked with
Axel Red (another Belgium Female artist who is signed by Virgin France
and has had number 1 hits within all French territories ) by meeting
Patick Deltenre the top Belgium guitar player, who found Jennifer's
personality and voice very intriguing and wanted to be involved in her
project!
In 2003, Jennifer made a video for her first single "Connected"
which was distributed by TSP / Sony Music. This single was on the
radio in Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, France, Sweden and of course on
Star Radio!

of hysteria.
Negtive are: Antti Anatomy (bass) and Jay Slammer (drums) combined with Larry

Ne-Yo |
|
Born into a family of musicians from Arkansas, Shaffer C. Smith a.k.a. Ne-Yo was raised in a single parent home by his mother.
In hopes of a better opportunity, Ne-Yo's mother relocated the family to Las Vegas Nevada; where Ne-Yo would discover his passion.
The singer/songwriter, penned on the biggest radio records of history (189.5 million listeners in one week) Billboards #1 R&B chart
for several weeks, the words on "Let Me Love You" touch your heart and makes you feel good in your soul. Written with Scott Storch
and Kam Houf and performed by the R&B artist Mario, "Let Me Love You" is just a glimpse into the mind of a true writer. "It's a great
song, and I'm really happy to have wrote it," he says.
A master in the art of storytelling, Ne-Yo began writing at an early age. A vivid imagination and creative energy has allowed Ne-Yo
to write songs for multi-platinum artists such as Mary J. Blige, B2K, Faith Evans, and Musiq. When asked about writing number one hits
for other artists, simply put, Ne-Yo said, "I feel there is always room for good music. I want to reach people's soul with my lyrics
thru whatever vessel God chooses."
Infusing pop melodies to rich, soulful production, the debut album is sure to score with fans and critics alike. Relying on mostly his
own in-house crew Compound, Ne-Yo creates both a unique sound and sentiment for his records. Songs like the first single "Stay" (featuring
Peedi Crack) exemplify Ne-Yo's nuanced, layered vocals and sample free production. "So Sick", a beautiful track in which he laments hearing
love songs on the radio due to the feelings they conjure, reveals his voice to be clean and almost elated, but rich and weathered at the
same time. But true to his charismatic character, the album shows many sides of Ne-Yo and even finds him lighter, more playful, even coy,
on "When You're Mad." Sure cello hits move the track as Ne-Yo floats above, telling his woman that she's even more beautiful when she's mad.
With the album in the chamber, ready to go, Ne-Yo now just has to prepare himself for the stardom that is sure to follow. "The toughest part
has been getting used to being known," he confesses, "I've always been the writer, the guy in the background, but being the actual artist is
a whole new experience for me."
Citing Prince, Marvin Gaye, The Rat Pack, and Stevie Wonder in his list of favorite entertainers, Ne-Yo's album invokes a nostalgic feeling,
a renaissance if you will. Whether it's the bedroom or the dance floor, Ne-Yo's songs are filled with passion and intense energy that pulls
(you into the music) and puts you into a zone.
Ne-Yo is taking the music industry by storm, as he graces and challenges popular music with his writing & vocal talents. Much more than today's
male singer, Ne-Yo is a rare artist; expressing creativity thru drawings, paintings, martial arts and song. He is distinguished by youthful
energy with in-depth lyrics that touch the soul.

Nickelback |
|
Nickelback is a success story built on the road, on the radio and great
rock songs. The group is composed of: Chad Kroeger singer/guitarist and
main songwriter, Ryan Peake guitarist, Mike Kroeger bassist, and Ryan
Vikedal drummer. Their first album "The State" was released in 2000 and
went gold. In 2001, the album "Silver Side up" was instant smash and
sold more than 9 million copies worldwide. The album achieved Gold,
Platinum, or multi-Platinum status in the U.S. (5x Platinum), UK (3x
platinum) the band's native Canada (8x platinum), Australia (2x Platinum),
Germany (Platinum), Holland (Platinum), and ten other territories
worldwide. The single taken from this album was "How You Remind Me”, it went on
to rack up four Grammy Award nominations, four Billboard Awards, four
Juno awards, and countless radio accreditations. Statistics showed that
"How You Remind Me" was the #1 Most Played Song of 2002, across all
formats, according to Billboard Monitor and the band was named #1 Most
Played Rock Artist of 2002 Across All Radio Formats.
In 2003, they were back with a new album "The Long Road". From the
album's dynamic lead single "Someday" to the strapping guitar riffs of
"Throw Yourself Away" to the vibrant and energetic "Do This Anymore" and
the bare emotion of "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good," The Long Road sees
Nickelback focusing its signature melodic crunch like never before. The
album was also highlighted by a marked lyrical growth, more often tackling
universal themes rather than simply going toe-to-toe with personal
demons. "The album is less directed at me and things I've gone through,"
lead singer and guitarist Chad Kroeger, elaborates. "Instead of being
about my own life, it's about experiences that everyone can relate to and
hopefully learn something from."
The craft of rock music, as interpreted by Nickelback, is honed even
finer on The Long Road. Nickelback have found a home among millions of
fans around the globe through their music, and for the band and their
fans, the road continues on.
