Who are we? |

Star Radio is an officially licensed ASCAP, BMI and SESAC 'Internet Only' Radio Station; it is a 'Premium Member' of the Live365 network
and all royalties are paid monthly via Live365.
Star Radio has been created on the 23rd of March 2003; this website was launched on the 25th of April 2003.
The idea came from 'DJ Brian' who was a former FM Radio DJ; he is the founder, the director and the webmaster.
All other DJs are the founder's friends and colleagues who decided to join Star Radio as volunteers.
Star Radio is a non-profit radio; our aim is to play music, have fun doing it and share it with our listeners.
We ONLY play the Latest Hits and we do select them from All over the World and not just from one market
(Pop, Dance, R&B, Rap, Rock, Latino, French, Greek, International...).
Early in September 2003, Live365 selected Star Radio as an "Editor's Pick" Radio and included Star Radio in its monthly Newsletter !
Mid-March 2004, thousands of Live365 broadcasters selected Star Radio as one of the 5 finalists nominees for the BEST POP RADIO STATION AWARD 2004.
Again, and for the 2nd year in a row, on the 23rd of March 2005, VIP Listeners and Live365 broadcasters selected Star Radio as one of the 5 finalists nominees for the BEST POP RADIO STATION AWARD 2005.
The Awards ceremony took place in San Francisco on the 30th of April 2005.

Star Radio's Ranking among other Internet Radios |

As an Internet Radio, we have listeners from all over the planet (over 85 different countries so far;
see list below).
After the first week of broadcast, Star Radio was ranked 7758 between all online radio stations; in only 1 month, we became ranked at position 1373.
Our Ranking at the end of May 2003 was 890 (see Graph 2 below). The last Graph exposed here below was taken on the 16th of April
2006 and we were at Rank 10 between all POP stations, Rank 9 in TOP 40 stations.

Star Radio's aim was to reach the TOP 10 Internet Radios in both Pop and Top 40 genres;
it was a very ambitious and difficult aim, but we've reached it with more and more, new and comeback, listeners each day.
Next aim, Star Radio N°1 online radio!
